I haven't posted for awhile because of lack of time and mostly because my laptop has broken, which is very annoying. I am in the Philippines now. Before that Singapore. And before that Thailand. I spent 8 days in Thailand with my dad. It wasn't bad. I rode an elephant and went deep into the mountains. It was ok and naturally more beautiful then the rest of Thailand. It was neat to see that mountain tribes still in there traditional clothing. Many of them are from Myanmar, where the government persecutes them.
The Philippines is of course the highlight of the trip. I've stayed with my aunt and uncle and right now I'm with a cousin and his family. In my cousin's house I am known as Uncle John because my cousin has a small baby. The Philippines itself...I think it's seen been better days, haha. It's not like the places I've been to so far where you can just go out and do whatever. I under my relatives watch 24/7 and am definitely not allowed to go anywhere on my own. The only places I've gone to are the gated communities my relatives live in and malls. I guess they are the only safe places around. I really can't tell you much else about the country because this is all I've seen so far.
