Day 1: Singapore

Hi anyone that reads this. I've made it to Singapore. It's 11:30 at night here. I've been here for a few hours and it's been pretty good so far. It's so diverse here, it's really exciting. The city is mostly Chinese (Hakka, Cantonese), but there are lots of Indians (Hindu, Buddhist, Shiek, Muslims), Malays (mostly Muslim) and ex-pats (mostly Americans). I'm actually staying in Little India and boy, it really is India here. This is by far the most authentic ethnic neighborhood I've been in. But I can't get over how many different kinds of people are here. And the fact that they all speak English! Because it's so diverse, an Indian guy in the subway station mistakened me for a local and asked for directions somewhere. Coincidentily, I was able to help him.

For dinner I had Burger King, because I like BK. They don't have it in Japan. I went to the main shopping road here and it's blazing in brightnes from X-mas lights, it's quite the sight. I'm not sure if I can put pics or vids up, because I'm using a computer in the hostel I'm staying at and I have a time limit (30 mins). We'll see.

See you later!
